Artist Statement
My paintings explore the subject mattter of life and death that cannot
be divorced from our existence. Life and the dead are un-separated and
they like both sides of a coin.
When I was a child, ghost stories, horror movies and haunted houses in
amusement parks fascinated me. Those stories and scenes keep
reappearing in my
mind from time to time and they lead me into all sorts of imagination
that I hope to reveal in my work..
Sometimes the outcome of the works depict our human nature. Where are
we heading after death? Is there an incarnation process going on? I
enjoy using skeletons as a metaphor of life after death or the dead
while
living.
